Hello all,I am just dropping the word that starting tomorrow, around midday, we will be starting life all over again with new forum software. My account got suspended for "exploiting" in the game. I have never exploited in the game before and you can look up in my record.CSR-JohnnyA said I exploited by "hiding in the wall and shooting through it." Yesterday was my first time I got into the cavern and I do not see the wall. All I see was the players floating. How am I exploiting? My account got suspended? So much for paying you guys almost an year? SmokeJumper, Sporkfire, I want to talk to you please. ASAP. I did not exploit therefore there was no wall front of me. Also, he told me I went to cavern from forsenal to ishunder just to get in the cave. Well, Frank075 globaled to get in the cavern. So did I, I figured there might be battles in the core since the patch. Then I got appealed for exploiting. I dont see any walls and when I see enemy, I shoot at them. Come on, that aint right. CSRJohnnyA wont even listen to me at all either. |

I can't comment on any specifics regarding the incident, but the community should be aware that there are two sides to every story. Admittedly, the Surge warping was the issue that caused us to look into Surge overall. Yes, we still have to resolve the core issue that caused the effect and that resolution is under development. To some extent, warping of some sort will always be a problem given the nature of the Internet and the predictive needs of MMO netcode. PlanetSide is not the only game to face this limitation. It may, however, be more obvious in PlanetSide, due to its unique gameplay and combat system among MMOG's.But it also called up a design issue: given a perfect network with no warping, is it desired for functionality for this game to allow highly potent weapons to be used at super speeds? We don't feel it is, and there are plenty of gamers in PlanetSide who agree with that sentiment. For this version, the Capitols use existing buildings. We are in the early exploration stage of developing new designs (meaning, it will take quite some time for the change to come to pass). 7. In any event, I am looking into this and should have an answer by the end of the day. Some Google research suggests that the Spyware file would need to be in the Windows directory to function and not an application directory. I believe it is probably a case of similar naming. I'll know by the end of the day.The reason I am confident that we'll find it to not be spyware patched in behind my back is that someone would have found it long before now and we would have already been through the PR storm. The lasher has had it's damage per orb reduced, its lash activation range increased to five meters, and it's orb speed reduced. Go to the test server. Now could you stop posting about it. |

Sporkfire.We only have one forum room where we can discuss isssues of the game. This makes it hard for several issues to have any feedback or attention. It feels that the devs sometimes dont get the right idea of the community will and alot of players dont post because they fell like their post are useless in the middle of so many useless ones. I would like to see some changes to the forum in order to improve the feedback and the community happyness. -End of all the 'general chat' rooms. (wishlist, art of war, general discussion, etc etc) -Creation of new rooms : one for vechs one for air vechs one for support classes (hacking, medic, engy) one for core systems (ui, options, tech issues, and all those general and core system issues) one for weapons one for max's and player armor. This would spread out the posts and filter the issues in a more organized maner for us and for you. Also, i would like to see some heavy moderation on the forums. These forums are to use in the benefit of the game, not to vent frustation (and if we want we could use planetside discussion for that like we do now). Chosing players of the comunity ( one per forum ) and giving them the ability to report posts to be moderated and help gathering data Creating sticky posts like ' what do you feel the role of this weapon should be ?' and 'top 5 issues of this vech'. This way the feedback would be alot more organized and filtered and alot more players would post. I also would like to see the patch notes starting with something telling the players to go to the forums to voice their opinion or even a 'tip of the day'. Adding a ' do you wish to order core combat' pop up that doesnt open every time you log in but just once or twice when important issues are on the forums would also help. Please insure that we players have the ability to discuss issues and fell that we are beeing usefull and that our requests have your and the devs attention. |

Not on your life. Some players do not view the sole purpose of forums as being a development discussion.However, having a single development forums (and technically, we have several) allows all sides to be represented in issues. I think the melting pot model is the right one to go with. If I ever did open forums for each playstyle, they would not likely be development oriented, but rather just more 'General Chat' types. I have tried to find an answer on this one with the search function and dev tracker and can't find where a Dev has addressed it. I know the topic has been brought up several times but still I can't find an official response.CR4 OS's rarely kill AMS's anymore. Open field and no obstructions over the top of the AMS. Waypoint dead center on the AMS and still they rarely die. In fact they don't seem to show any damage at all. Please let us know what's up here. Thanks guys. |

The result *should* be that the OS stops at the Dome periphery. It works...but doesn't penetrate the dome. | |

Well im still steaming over the fact that you think grenades can be used better than a thumper. But thats not why i am typing this. I am typing this for 2 reasons. #1 is to ask you WHY you insist on leaving things out of the patch notes. And #2 which is the TR's AA max the Burster.Ill start with the Burster max first. I rmeber in one of SmokeJumpers replys he said that they were taking away the TR Burster max Splash damage against vechiles and infantry. However at the same time he said the damage would be left alone but only would do damage ala direct conntact of the projectile. Now maybe things changed inbetween now and then but why did you nerf the TR burster to the point of allmost no return? It now takes over 50, yes count them over 50 rounds to kill somones. Do have any idea how insane that is? Its more insane that have a delay between throwing grenades. And quite frankly im getting a bit flustered over this *new* patch. Now to address problem #2. Again im going to ask the ultimate question why. As in why do you seem to not want to share all the information with your clients? Remeber we are people to and have all the right in the world to know. After all without you have np paychecks right? So please explain to be a half way decent reason why this has and keeps happening? Typo maybe? Forgot? Or just plain didnt feel like typing the extra to lines of text? |

"significantly higher" is relative. Just because it's better than the other MAXs when anchored doesn't mean it's a great AI weapon. Keep that in mind.Other than that, the Burster is now in-line damage-wise, when compared to other AA MAXs, on infantry targets, vehicle targets, AND air targets, so I don't see that the balance needs to change much now. If you're used to using the TR Burster as an AI weapon, then you'll need to change your tactics. | |

Only buff I ask, care not about anything else.Inf's are fine, I would just like to request another Hip Slot. I see no reason that I can carry one, but not 2. I have no rifle slot, only a pistol slot. I will continue to use my cloaker but I would like to put this suggestion up for offer. Thanks. I do have 2 hips ya know. Just sign here for (and ONLY for) another hip slot. |

For two cert points, we are pretty satisfied with the inventory space and single holster of the Infiltrator.
